The commercialized Interior products, materials, and finishes are generally off-gassing or release Volatile Organic Compounds(VOCs) which causing health hazards to the occupants. This project is aimed to explore developing bio-based and economical alternative interior finishes and materials out of domestic food waste. Experiments have been done to discover the potential properties of shells, fruit peels, bio-resin, starch, etc. that could help to replace the commonly used toxic component with the bio-based components.
